Dr. Renee Camara has practiced in Wayzata since 2002. She is the sole owner of Wayzata Periodontics & Implants; she is proud to extend the mission of extraordinary patient care that began in this practice over 40 years ago. Dr. Camara has decided to join Wayzata Endodontics twice a month to collaborate with our team of endodontic specialists on cases where both endodontic and periodontic procedures are needed and to help with many different cases referred to our practice. We are excited to have added her expertise and patient dedication to our practice.

Dr. Camara graduated at the top of her class from dental school in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1995. She moved to Minnesota in 1996 for a general dental practice residency (GPR) at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry before completing a three-year Master’s Degree from the Advanced Education in Periodontology program. She became board certified in 2001 and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society in 2004. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association and a lecturer at the University of Minnesota’s Continuing Dental Education Department.

Dr. Camara is dedicated to the most advanced technologies and treatments for periodontal disease and dental implants, performed in a calm and comfortable environment. She has extensive training and expertise in periodontal plastic surgery procedures. Her kind and compassionate patient care has earned the respect of a broad network of referring dentists throughout the Twin Cities.

Dr. Camara lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and three children. She is an avid runner and cook.
